Next Step Franchise Solutions
Part 6 of 6

Why Work With a Consultant?

A consultant provides structure, objectivity, and access in an overwhelming market.

With many franchise systems competing for attention, narrowing the field can be difficult. As a consultant, I provide:

  • Efficiency: I narrow down thousands of options to a few that actually match your criteria.
  • Objectivity: Because I am not an employee of a specific franchisor, I can point out the pros and cons of multiple models without bias.
  • Preparation: I help you formulate the right questions for the franchisor and existing franchisees during your validation calls.

Participating franchisors pay my referral fee, so buyers do not pay Next Step for the consulting service. I explain that compensation structure openly as part of the process.

Common Questions

Does using a consultant make the franchise more expensive?

Next Step does not charge the buyer for consulting. Ask the franchisor to confirm all fees and costs in its current Franchise Disclosure Document before making a decision.

Does a consultant replace professional advisers?

No. A consultant can organize the search and help you prepare questions, but a qualified attorney and financial or tax professional should review the legal and financial details.
